NAOMI ISKRA
Barrister & Solicitor

Naomi Iskra practices exclusively in family and estate law, providing strategic and resolution-focused legal services to clients across Alberta. Her practice includes parenting arrangements, separation and divorce, property division, domestic agreements, wills and estates, probate, and estate administration. She is committed to helping clients navigate legal matters efficiently, offering clear advice, practical options, and a focus on timely resolution.

She believes that relationships are fundamental to every aspect of life, particularly in family and estate law. This principle guides her approach to advocacy, negotiation, and long-term resolution.

Naomi grew up in a hilltop town above Nice in southern France. During her childhood, the Tour de France cyclists passed directly beneath her bedroom window, leaving a lasting impression of the preparation, precision, and resilience required to perform at the highest level. These values continue to shape her calm, focused, and methodical approach to legal problem-solving.

Before entering the legal profession, she worked as a French teacher with a school board, where she met her husband, who was also in the profession. She completed her undergraduate studies at Glendon College, the bilingual campus of York University in Toronto, earning an Honours Bachelor of Arts in French Studies. She also obtained her Bachelor of Education, specializing in French as a Second Language, from York University. She later attended McGill University in Montreal, where she earned her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law. This dual degree reflects comprehensive training in both English common law and French civil law traditions. She provides legal services in both English and French.

She is also a Legal Aid lawyer, reflecting her commitment to access to justice and meaningful advocacy. Known for her measured and strategic approach, she provides individualized guidance tailored to each client’s goals. Efficiency, regular communication, and transparency around fees, process, and expected timelines are central to her practice, ensuring clients remain informed and supported at every stage. Outside of her practice, she is a mother to young children and values the balance and perspective of small-town life.
